New Leaders at SUKPUC The Kenya polytechnic University College has got new student leaders following last week [Thursday and Friday] held election. `Reuben Wangogho Murumba was elected chairman. The new elected leadership took oath of the office at a swearing ceremony [today [Monday 1st November, 2010] at Main Hall witnessed by the Principal Prof Francis W.O. Aduol member of staff and students of KPUC The chairman elect in his acceptance speech thanked those who voted him into office and asked the student to be peaceful and cooperate with the new leadership. He thanked all the students for voting well and no evidence was reported during voting exercise last week. “We are not showing go leadership when we elected our leader peacefully and let us show this quality to the end of our term” the chairman said. Prof. Aduol thanked the student for their maturity during the election, “You have showed maturity in the way you handled the election and this is a commendable” the principal said. The principal congratulated the returning officers and the team that helped to conduct a peaceful election Speaking during ceremony, the dean of students Mr. Maurice Okungu recommended the students and all who participated in Election Day. ‘I am proud of you all and may God bless you for the job well done’. He said Today ceremony was graced by Rev Chalton Ochola who is Protestant chaplain and Rev Fr Dr Ndikaru Wa Teresia a Catholic Chaplain. Other who attended the ceremony were Deputy deans Ms Salim and Ochieng Mr. Kanyadudi [chief administrator officers’], Mrs. Ruth Kirwa [Legal Officer], Mr. Ronald Sungu [Returning officer], Mr. Samuel Ayola [Deputy-returning officer] Mr. Obara,[Chief security officer], Mr. Orwa and [Deputy-chief security officer] The following are the elected leaders 2010/2011 - SUKPUC OFFICIALS
