Principal

Prof. Francis W. O. Aduol was appointed the first Principal of the University College in October 2008. He officially took over the University College administration on November 14, 2008.

Prof. Aduol earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Surveying from the University of Nairobi. He then proceeded to Sturtgatt University, Germany, for his doctoral studies in Geodesy. He joined the academia as a tutorial fellow in the Department of Geospatial and Space Technology, University of Nairobi, and steadily rose through the ranks to become one of the leading African Professors in this field.

He has had an illustrious career in education administration at University level, having served as Chairman as well as Dean – School of Engineering at the University of Nairobi. While there, he also served as Chairman and member of various strategic University and Government committees that advised on management of higher education. At the time of his appointment, Prof. Aduol was serving as the Principal – College of Architecture and Engineering, a post he had held since 1999.

Soon after, a College Management Board was constituted and thereafter, the appointments of some of the key administrative staff have been made. To support the new status, recruitment of both Academic and Administrative staff is in progress.
