Library Services
The College Library Services exist to support the scholarly life of the College and to secure the kind of reputation that will strengthen the Kenya Polytechnic University College’s position as the preferred destination the students, lecturers and researchers. This is realised through the provision of reading materials particularly in accordance with the curriculum of the various disciplines to help the students to grasp knowledge
for examinations purposes, besides their general mental development.

The Kenya Polytechnic Library Section
The Library provides a wide range of library and information services to support the students and staff of the institution. The Library collection is made up of textbooks, periodicals, newspapers and Government and referred journal publications and various prospectuses from various universities. The books total about 45,000 and comprise of titles relevant to the various fields taught here at the Kenya Polytechnic University College. The Library is divided into various sections which include: -
  • Circulation desk which is the focal point of the Library because most transactions of the
    users are handled here;
  • Information desk which serves the staff members;
  • Periodicals which has the newspapers, journals and atlases;
  • Special collection where we stock the projects or research reports done by students.

Future Plans
The Library is currently being expanded upwards by two floors with the intention of setting up new sections such as Media Services, which will include a cyber café, and an Africana Section.
