Graphic Arts and Design are vital components of communication that provide the cutting edge for marketing of products and services. They are the all-important visual bridge connecting the product to the consumer. 
Graphic design facilitates creation of eye- catching design for print media. It helps students equip themselves with knowledge of visualisation, concept development, design techniques with good colour sense and illustration. Graphic designers contribute to shaping the society’s visual landscape. Graphic and media Design is design for print- advertising, illustration, typography to explore creative advertising and illustration. It involves Design for interaction and moving image with interaction and motion based design
Product design plays an increasingly important role in our rapidly changing society. The application of new digital, material and production technology now enables far greater freedom in creating exciting consumer products. Product design is now defined by a wide range of activities, from interactive digital consumer products to packaging, service and strategic design. The course focuses on the human aspects of product development. This includes explorations of the psychological and emotional elements of design, and marketing and brand issues to be considered during the evolution of a new product. Students will become fluent in industry standard design software, including graphic design packages, 3D digital modelling and multimedia applications. These skills will be a powerful asset when they embark on their future career.

Diploma in Art and Design (Graphic design option)
Intake: January
Duration: 3 years – (9 terms)
Qualifications: K.C.S.E Mean Grade C+ including C plain in English, 
Fine art, Art & Design or a cert in Graphic Design. 
Fees: Ksh 4 990/= per term. 
Exams: Kenya National Examination Council.

Diploma in Graphic Design and Communication
Intake: May
Duration: 3 years – (9 terms)
Qualifications: K.C.S.E Mean Grade C+ or D+ with a cert. in Graphic design 
Fees: Ksh 11 200/= per term, Final exam fee Ksh 5 000/=, Stage exam Ksh 3 000/= 
Exams: Kenya Polytechnic University College.

Advanced Certificate in Graphic Design and Communication
Intake: January
Duration: 1 year – (3 terms)
Qualifications: K.C.S.E Mean Grade D+ including D+ in English, 
  Maths & Sciences.
Fees: Ksh 9 200/= per term. Exam fees Ksh 4 000/=
Exams: Kenya Polytechnic University College.

Certificate in Photography and Audio Visual
Intake: January
Duration: 1 year – (3 terms)
Qualifications: K.C.S.E Mean Grade D+ including D+ in English, 
  Maths & Sciences.
