Department of Real Estate and Property Management

The courses in this Department focus on the interaction of business process and property and the role
the property performs within the context of the wider economy. The course programme involves on
approach that integrates economic, social, fiscal,financial, legal and cultural issues as they relate to
property matters.Throughout the course you will learn, develop, and enhance the transferrable skills required to succeed in professional practice. You will develop the ability to put principles and theory into practice including skills in business and finance. You will ultimately build an appreciation for the need and the problems
of the owners and users of buildings and the ability to communicate effectively and sympathetically.
You will be encouraged to develop problems-solving skills together with personal skills of observation,
analytical judgement and communication.
This will enable you to respond to practical challenges presented by rapidly evolving technological, social
and economic demands as they apply to the built environment.
