Department of Accomodation and Laundry Technology

The area of Accommodation and Laundry Services has not been taken too seriously in training in the past. With the world becoming a global village, hotel, hospital and restaurant guests expect World Class hygiene, and high standards of cleanliness, safety and security for the their property and selves.

It is with this in mind that the School of Hospitality will train specialist Housekeeping and Laundry Personnel. A highly interactive and practical course, students will be exposed to on-campus basic practical training, in-service practical classes at the world class Hill Campus where the Guest and Conference Centre will be located.

Students will be exposed to the Rooms and Laundry Division of Four and Five Star Hotels for a four month mandatory practical attachment.

  • Diploma in Hotel and Institutional
  • Housekeeping – Laundry and Dry Cleaning Technology
  • Diploma in Hotel and Institutional Housekeeping – Front Office Technology
  • Bachelor of Technology in Hotel and Institutional Housekeeping – Laundry and
    Dry Cleaning Technology
  • Bachelor of Technology in Hotel and Institutional Housekeeping – Front Office Management
With this variety of courses, The School aims at giving an opportunity for training to students straight from secondary school, to staff in industry looking for a school in which to update their basic Technological and Management Skills.
